Ingredients

  • 4 cups pretzel nibblers or small pretzel bites
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons maple syrup

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Line an 18×26-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3 -Add the pretzels to the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

Step 4 -Bake the pretzels until they are hot to the touch, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 5 -While the pretzels are baking, in a small bowl, add the sugar, the salt, the black pepper, the cayenne pepper, the ginger, and the cinnamon and whisk to combine.

Step 6 -In a large bowl, add the maple syrup.

Step 7 -Add the hot pretzels to the maple syrup and toss to coat.

Step 8 -Sprinkle the spice mixture over the coated pretzels and stir to coat.

Step 9 -Pour the coated pretzels back onto the baking sheet and let them cool completely.

Step 10 -Serve.
