When it’s finally seasonally appropriate to start eating pumpkin pie again, we want it everywhere. Desserts, pastries, coffee… yes, please. This Pumpkin Pie Moscow Mule is another way we love to sip up those spicy flavors. Pour us a mug full of this bubbly, pumpkin-butter-infused, tingly stuff and we’ll be quite grateful. Gosh, we’re obsessed with pumpkin season. Cheers to this Pumpkin Pie Moscow Mule! It’s really out of this “gourd”!

Ingredients

  • ice, to taste
  • 2 ounces vanilla vodka
  • 1 heaping tablespoon pumpkin butter
  • 1/2 lime, juiced, plus 1/2 lime, cut into wedges, for garnish
  • 4 ounces ginger beer
  • star anise, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –In a cocktail shaker, add the ice, the vanilla vodka, the pumpkin butter, and the juice from 1/2 of the lime and shake until it is very cold and the pumpkin butter is incorporated.

Step 2 –Add the ice into a copper mug.

Step 3 –Strain the drink into the prepared mug. Double strain it to prevent clumps of the pumpkin butter from transferring to the mug.

Step 4 –Top the drink mixture with the ginger beer.

Step 5 –Serve the drink garnished with the star anise and the lime wedges.
