Ingredients
- 2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant ramen noodles, flavor packets discarded
- 1/3 cup beef stock
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sriracha, plus more to taste
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 cup sweet onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, optional, thinly sliced, for garnish
- 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, optional, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –In a large pot of boiling water, cook the ramen noodles until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 2 –Rinse the noodles with cold water and drain.
Step 3 –In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef stock, oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sriracha.
Step 4 –Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 5 –Add the ground beef and onion, and cook until the beef has browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef as it cooks.
Step 6 –Drain the excess fat from the skillet.
Step 7 –Stir in the garlic and ginger and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Step 8 –Stir in the beef stock mixture, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Step 9 –Stir in the ramen noodles until heated through and evenly coated in sauce, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 10 –Serve immediately, garnished with the green onions and sesame seeds.
