Ingredients
- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 cups whipping cream
- 1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper, plus more, to taste, for garnish
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 -Layer the potato slices in the prepared baking dish.
Step 4 -In a large bowl, add the whipping cream, the parsley, the garlic, the salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper and stir to combine. Then, pour the mixture over the potato slices.
Step 5 -Bake the scalloped potatoes, gently stirring every 10 minutes, about 30 minutes.
Step 6 -Sprinkle the scalloped potatoes with the parmesan cheese and bake until bubbly and golden-brown, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 7 -Transfer the baking dish to a wire rack and let the scalloped potatoes rest, about 10 minutes.
Step 8 -Garnish the scalloped potatoes with the extra pepper and serve.
