It really doesn’t get simpler than this Simple Pasta Bake. It has pasta mixed with creamy, tangy ricotta, a rich marinara sauce, some classic Italian seasoning… and that’s it. Oh, and cheese, but that’s almost a given when it comes to pasta. It’s a convenient and quick way to make the most of pasta night! Simple Pasta Bake is simply delicious!

Ingredients
- 1 (16-ounce) package pasta, such as penne
- 1 (15-ounce) container ricotta cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 (26-ounce) jar vegetarian marinara sauce
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
Step 3 –Drain the pasta well.
Step 4 –In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, the Italian seasoning, 1/2 of the marinara sauce, the salt, and the pepper.
Step 5 –Add the cooked pasta to the sauce mixture, tossing gently to combine.
Step 6 –Use 1/2 of the remaining marinara sauce to cover the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Step 7 –Spoon the pasta-ricotta mixture in an even layer in the casserole dish.
Step 8 –Cover the pasta layer with the remaining marinara sauce.
Step 9 –Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
Step 10 –Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 11 –Remove the cover and bake until golden-brown and hot throughout, about 10 minutes.
Step 12 –Serve.
