Ingredients
- 4 slices country bread
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, room temperature
- 4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 4 slices deli ham
- 1/4 cup sliced pimiento peppers
- 2 scallions, chopped
Directions
Step 1 -Brush 1 side of each of the slices of the bread evenly with the butter.
Step 2 -On 2 slices of the bread, on the non-buttered side, add an even amount of the cheddar, the cream cheese, the hot sauce, the ham, the pimientos, and the scallions.
Step 3 -Close the sandwiches so the buttered-side is on top.
Step 4 -Heat a large nonstick skillet over low heat.
Step 5 -Add the sandwiches to the hot skillet and cook, covered, until the bread is golden-brown and crisp and the cheese has melted, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Step 6 -Slice and serve.
