Ingredients
- 3 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
- 1 cup dill pickles, diced
- 1/2 cup bacon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 12 slices bread
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 4 cups mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend, shredded
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 –In a large bowl, add the chicken, the pickles, the bacon, the salt, the pepper, and the ranch dressing and stir until the ingredients are fully combined.
Step 4 –Spread the bread slices with the margarine and cut the slices in half.
Step 5 –Place 1/2 of the bread pieces, margarine-side down, into the prepared baking dish.
Step 6 –Sprinkle 2 cups of the cheese on top of the bread.
Step 7 –Spoon the chicken mixture on top of the cheese and evenly spread it out.
Step 8 –Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the chicken mixture.
Step 9 –Place the remaining bread pieces, margarine-side up, on top of the cheese.
Step 10 –Bake the casserole until the bread is golden-brown on top, about 20-25 minutes.
Step 11 –Serve.
