For the crust:

  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed into crumbs
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

For the filling:

  • 1 (16-ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup key lime juice
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup tequila

For the garnish:

  • 6 strawberries, sliced
  • 2 limes, thinly sliced
  • mint leaves, to taste


Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –In a bowl, mix the pretzel crumbs, the melted butter, and the sugar together.

Step 3 –Press the pretzel mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate, pressing it firmly into the sides and the bottom.

Step 4 –Bake the crust until it is toasted, about 10 minutes.

Step 5 –Take the crust out of the oven and allow it to cool completely.

Step 6 –With a mixer, beat the cream cheese until it is fluffy.

Step 7 –Add the lime juice to the whipped cream and beat it until no lumps remain.

Step 8 –Add the sweetened condensed milk and the 3 diced strawberries to the filling mixture and beat on high speed for 2 minutes.

Step 9 –Stir the tequila into the filling mixture.

Step 10 –Pour the filling into the cooled crust and freeze for at least 4 hours and up to overnight.

Step 11 –Allow the pie to thaw out for 10 minutes prior to serving.

Step 12 –Decorate the top of the pie with the remaining strawberries, the limes, and the mint leaves.

Step 13 –Serve.
