Ingredients
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 3/4 cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 2 cups tonic water
- 2 cups raspberries
- 1 lime, sliced
- 1 bottle champagne or sparkling white wine

Directions
Step 1 –In a small pot, bring the sugar and the water to a boil over medium heat, stirring to ensure the sugar dissolves completely.
Step 2 –Let the simple syrup cool to room temperature.
Step 3 –In a large pitcher, add the simple syrup, the lime juice, the vodka, and the tonic water, stirring gently until combined.
Step 4 –Stir in the raspberries and the lime slices.
Step 5 –Just before serving, add the champagne.
Step 6 –Serve chilled.
