Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 6 slices white bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

Step 1 –Grease a 7×11-inch baking dish.

Step 2 –In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage, while crumbling it, until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 3 –Drain the excess grease and transfer the sausage from the heat.

Step 4 –In a large bowl, beat the eggs.

Step 5 –Add the milk, the salt, and the ground mustard to the eggs and stir to combine.

Step 6 –Stir the bread cubes, the cheese, and the cooked sausage into the egg mixture.

Step 7 –Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish, cover with foil, and refrigerate for at least 8 hours and up to overnight.

Step 8 –Let the egg mixture rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Step 9 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 10 –Bake the casserole, uncovered, until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 40 minutes.

Step 11 –Serve.
