  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 loaf French bread, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1 (16-ounce) can refried beans
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 1 (4-ounce) can black olives, sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced thin


Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Coat an 18×26-inch baking sheet with nonstick spray.

Step 3 –In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, while crumbling it, until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess grease.

Step 4 –Add the taco seasoning mix to the ground beef and cook according to the package directions.

Step 5 –Place the bread halves, cut-side up, onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 6 –Place the refried beans in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave them on the high setting, until they are warm, cooking in 30 second increments.

Step 7 –Evenly spread the refried beans over the bread halves.

Step 8 –Top the refried beans with the beef mixture.

Step 9 –Top the beef mixture with the cheese, the tomatoes, the black olives, and the green onion.

Step 10 –Bake the pizza loaves, uncovered, until the cheese has melted and is bubbly, about 12-15 minutes.

Step 11 –Let the pizza loaves stand for 5 minutes.

Step 12 –Slice and serve.
