Thyme for Chicken

When you coat succulent bone-in chicken breasts for a couple of hours with bright lemon juice, thyme, and spicy red pepper flakes, the time for a great meal will be at hand! Even if you’re trying to keep that hourglass figure, Thyme for Chicken is a great addition to your regularly scheduled meals. You will love every minute of it!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 chicken breasts, bone-in

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the broiler or the grill to medium-high.

Step 2 –In a shallow dish, add the lemon juice, the thyme, the red pepper flakes, the garlic, the oil, the salt, and the black pepper.

Step 3 –Add the chicken to the marinade and turn it to thoroughly coat.

Step 4 –Place the chicken under the broiler or on the grill and cook until browned on one side, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 5 –Turn the chicken and cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 10 minutes.

Step 6 –Serve.
