Ingredients
- 1/2 cup canola oil, plus more if needed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 3 teaspoons ground black pepper, or to taste
- 3 pounds cube steaks
- salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions
Step 1 –Using a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil.
Step 2 –In a medium-sized bowl, combine the seasoned salt, flour, and pepper. Set aside.
Step 3 –Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4 –Dredge each piece of steak in the flour mixture, pressing down to generously coat the meat.
Step 5 –Add the butter into the skillet immediately before frying.
Step 6 –Once the butter melts, fry the steak pieces in the butter/oil mixture.
Step 7 –Once the bottoms are a deep golden brown, flip and cook on the other side for about 1 minute.
