Blondie Sheet Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25-ounce) package white cake mix
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • caramel-pecan frosting, recipe of your choice, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 15×10-inch jelly-roll pan.

Step 3 –In a bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the cake mix, the buttermilk, the butter, the egg whites, and the almond extract at low speed until blended, about 2 minutes.

Step 4 –Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Step 5 –Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 6 –Allow the cake to cool on a rack for 2 hours.

Step 7 –Pour the frosting over the cooled cake and spread to cover it.

Step 8 –Slice and serve.
