Grandma’s Meatloaf

Grandma is always kind of no-fuss. Her recipe for Grandma’s Meatloaf, for instance? Mix, bake, brush. That’s really it. No sweat, no tears, just a tender loaf of beefy goodness and a sweet ketchup glaze on top! Why stress out about what to make for dinner? Grandma never does. She has Grandma’s Meatloaf to fall back on, and it works every time!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons minced dried onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, the oats, the tomato sauce, the eggs, the dried onion, the garlic, the salt, and the black pepper until well-combined.

Step 3 –Transfer the meat mixture into a 9×5–inch loaf pan.

Step 4 –Bake the loaf until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F, about 1 hour.

Step 5 –Transfer the pan from the oven and spread the ketchup over the top.

Step 6 –Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes.

Step 7 –Serve.
