Ingredients

For the crescent ring:

  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons lemon, zest
  • 1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent dough sheet

For the glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 teaspoons milk

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Coat a large cookie sheet with cooking spray.

Step 3 –In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, the sugar, the lemon juice, and the lemon zest with an electric mixer on medium speed until well-blended.

Step 4 –Unroll the dough sheet, then spread the cream cheese mixture over the rectangle to within 1/2 inch of the edges.

Step 5 –Roll up one long side of the rectangle, then pinch the edges to seal.

Step 6 –Cut the roll into 12 slices.

Step 7 –Arrange the slices on the prepared cookie sheet in a circle; overlap slightly.

Step 8 –Bake the ring until it is golden-brown, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 9 –In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and 2 teaspoons of the milk. Add the remaining milk as needed until the glaze is thin enough to drizzle.
