Ma’s Biscuits

And of course, these aren’t just any old biscuits. They’re loaded with hints of rich garlic and tangy onion because she just thinks of everything. See? She knows what’s up! Make Ma’s Biscuits for yourself and you’ll taste it!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups biscuit/baking mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2/3 cup 2% milk

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a baking sheet.

Step 3 –In a skillet over medium heat, heat the oil.

Step 4 –Add the onion to the oil and cook, while stirring, until it is tender, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 5 –Stir the garlic into the onion and cook until it’s fragrant, about 1 minute.

Step 6 –Let the onion mixture cool completely.

Step 7 –In a large bowl, combine the baking mix, the thyme, and the onion mixture together and then make a well in the center.

Step 8 –Pour the milk into the well and stir until the mixture is just moistened.

Step 9 –Drop the dough in rounded tablespoons, 2-inches apart, onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 10 –Bake the biscuits until they are golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 11 –Serve warm.
