Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Place the confectioners’ sugar in a shallow bowl.

Step 3 –In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese and the butter and beat with an electric hand mixer until creamy.

Step 4 –Stir the egg and the vanilla into the cream cheese mixture.

Step 5 –Add the cake mix to the cream cheese mixture and stir until well-blended.

Step 6 –Roll the dough into 1-inch balls; there should be 24 in total.

Step 7 –Roll the dough balls in the confectioners’ sugar to coat.

Step 8 –Place the dough balls 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 9 –Bake the cookies until they are set, about 10-13 minutes.

Step 10 –Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool.
