One of my latest craft passions is 3D cards, and today I want to teach you all how to make a pop up flower card! These are great for lots of occasions but especially Birthdays and Mother’s Day!
My 3D flower card is massively popular during March to May. It is simple to make using my free flower pop up card template and instructions.

3D Flower Cards for Kids to Make
My kids absolutely love 3D cards for their Birthday which have pop up elements! These are rather expensive to buy and sometimes there is poor choice. The best thing to do is make your own!
Please find step by step instructions how to make my flower pop up card for kids below. These can be printed out and kept for later use.
Materials
- Card-stock paper.
- Craft paper.
- Pencil.
- Ruler.
- Scissors.
- Glue.
Instructions
Step 1:
Use the PDF templates to cut out the pieces for your pop up tulip card.
Cut out 4 or more petals and leaves for the card.
Prepare the cards. Cut out two cardstock papers one slightly bigger than the other.

Step 2:
Fold the petals, stem and leaves in the middle to create the crease.
Step 3:
Take the smaller card.
Glue the folded stem on the folded area of the card.

Step 4:
Now, take one petal and glue it on the crease of the card the same as the stem.
Apply glue on only the crease of the petal, leave the rest of the petal unglued.

Step 5:
Take the second petal and similarly apply glue on its crease. Then glue it over the first petal.

Step 6:
Repeat the same process to glue all the petals one over the other.
Step 7:
Take the leaves and glue them on the stem using the same process.

Step 8:
Glue the bigger card over the smaller card.

After “step 8” decorate your card using colourful polka dots using craft papers. You can skip this part if you want or maybe you might want to add glitter instead of colored craft papers.
Then print out the quote “Happy Mothers Day “ from the second template and glue it on the front card (bigger card).
