Step 4 –Cut each of the large sections into thirds, then divide the thirds down the middle. You should have 12 squares total.

Step 5 –Press each dough square into the prepared muffin cups, pressing them down into the cup and up the edges as best you can.

Step 6 –Spoon about 2 teaspoons of the marinara sauce into the bottom of each dough cup.

Step 7 –Add a spoonful of the mozzarella cheese to each dough cup.

Step 8 –Place 1 meatball into the center of each dough cup (if using premade meatballs, they can be frozen).

Step 9 –Spoon another 2 teaspoons of the marinara over each meatball.

Step 10 –Top each meatball with the remaining mozzarella.

Step 11 –Bake until the crescent roll dough is golden-brown and the cheese is bubbling, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 12 –Allow the bites to cool for at least 5 minutes.

Step 13 –Serve.
