Ingredients

  • 3 large carrots, cut into disks, about 1/4-inch thick
  • 3 cups broccoli, cut into florets
  • 3 cups cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 5 tablespoons butter, cut into cubes
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • freshly cracked pepper, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –In a medium pot, add enough water to fill about 1 to 1-1/2-inches.

Step 2 –Place the pot over medium-high heat. Place a steamer basket in the pot.

Step 3 –Add the carrots to the basket, covering and steaming them for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4 –Remove the lid of the steam basket and add the broccoli and cauliflower.

Step 5 –Steam the vegetables until fork tender but still slightly crisp, about 6-8 minutes.

Step 6 –Drain the water from the pot.

Step 7 –Transfer the vegetables to a serving bowl.

Step 8 –Add the butter and stir to combine, making sure all of the butter melts and coats the veggies.

Step 9 –Season with salt and pepper and serve.
