Ingredients
- 1 pound codfish fillets
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- parsley, to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 –On a large platter with a paper towel, add the fillets and pat them dry.
Step 4 –Evenly sprinkle both sides of the fillets with the salt, the garlic powder, the paprika, and the black pepper.
Step 5 –In a single layer, transfer the seasoned fillets to the prepared baking dish and add the butter slices and the sliced lemons to the top of the fillets.
Step 6 –Bake, uncovered, until the fillets are flaky and reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 7 –Transfer the baking dish to a wire rack to cool slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
Step 8 –Serve garnished with the parsley.
