Ingredients

  • 2 pounds asparagus, washed, woody ends trimmed off
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • parmesan cheese, optional, to taste, grated, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2 –Arrange the asparagus on a large rimmed baking sheet in a single layer.

Step 3 –Drizzle the asparagus with the olive oil and sprinkle it with the garlic, the salt, and the pepper.
