Ingredients
- 2 1/2-3 pounds of chicken drumsticks, skinned
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/3 cup apricot or peach preserves
- 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
- fresh peaches, optional, for garnish, cut into wedges
Directions
Step 1 –Place the chicken in a 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker.
Step 2 –In a small bowl, stir the barbecue, preserves, and mustard together. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
Step 3 –Cover and cook on low until the chicken is cooked through and tender, about 6-8 hours.
Step 4 –Transfer the chicken to a serving dish, covering it to keep it warm.
Step 5 –Transfer the sauce to a medium saucepan. Bring the sauce to a boil over high heat.
Step 6 –Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer uncovered, until the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.
Step 7 –Serve the chicken with the sauce and garnish with fresh peaches.
