When she makes them, they’re always better. Grandma’s Homemade Tater Tots were always the savory treat we were greeted with at almost every visit. Simple potatoes evolve into little nuggets of fried heaven, and she always made it look so easy. Much, much better than the bagged kind, Grandma’s Homemade Tater Tots are the fresh goodness that everyone loves. She knows all the good things!

Ingredients
- 2 medium russet potatoes, peeled
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon seasoned pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cups peanut oil

Directions
Step 1 –In a large pot of salted water, over medium-high heat, add the potatoes and bring to a boil.
Step 2 –Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the potatoes until they are tender, about 10 minutes.
Step 3 –Drain the potatoes and let them set until they are cool enough to handle, about 10-15 minutes.
Step 4 –Use a box grater to shred the cooled potatoes and drain any of the excess water.
Step 5 –In a large bowl, add the shredded potatoes, the parsley, the flour, the salt, the seasoned pepper, and the onion powder and stir to combine.
Step 6 –Shape the potato mixture into 1-inch-long nuggets.
Step 7 –In a deep fryer or large sauce pan, heat the peanut oil to 350 degrees F.
Step 8 –In batches of 5-10 potato nuggets at a time, use a slotted spoon to carefully lower them into the heated oil and fry until they are golden-brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
Step 9 –Place the tater tots on a paper-towel-lined plate and let drain.
Step 10 –Serve immediately.
