Grandmother’s Peanut Butter Cookies

And no, we’re not just talking about her lovely, joyful presence! As soon as you step foot in her house, you’ll know what we mean. The nutty aromas of Grandmother’s Peanut Butter Cookies will greet you right as you enter the door. Ingredients

  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a cookie sheet.

Step 3 –In a medium bowl, stir the peanut butter and the sugar together until it is smooth.

Step 4 –Beat the eggs, one at a time, into the peanut butter mixture.

Step 5 –Add the baking soda, the salt, and the vanilla to the peanut butter mixture and stir to combine.

Step 6 –Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2-inches apart on the prepared cookie sheet.

Step 7 –Use the back of a fork to press a crisscross pattern into the top of the dough balls.

Step 8 –Bake the cookies, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 9 –Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes and then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 10 –Serve.
