Line-of-Scrimmage Sliders

Line-of-Scrimmage Sliders line up with fluffy Hawaiian rolls loaded with juicy, savory meatballs, rich pizza sauce, melty cheese, and a sprinkling of butter and parmesan on top! Ingredients

  • 1 (12-count) bag Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 12 meatballs, homemade or frozen, cooked if homemade, thawed if frozen
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.

Step 3 –Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half.

Step 4 –Place the bottom half of each of the Hawaiian rolls in the prepared pan.

Step 5 –Evenly spread 1/2 of the mozzarella slices on top of the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls.

Step 6 –Add the cooked meatballs in rows of three on top of the mozzarella layer.

Step 7 –Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the top of the meatballs, about 2 teaspoons for each meatball.

Step 8 –Place the remaining mozzarella cheese slices over the pizza sauce.

Step 9 –Place each of the Hawaiian roll tops over the mozzarella layer.

Step 10 –In a small bowl, combine the butter, the parmesan cheese, the garlic, and the parsley.

Step 11 –Brush the butter sauce over the tops of the sliders.

Step 12 –Cover the sliders with foil and bake until the cheese is melty and the pizza sauce is bubbly, about 25 minutes.
