Penalty Dip

You don’t have to love football to love this half-time treat! The Penalty Dip will have you screaming in delight for this potato chip referee. Blow the whistle on lame snacks and team up with your favorite players: dill pickle, cream cheese, fresh dill, and sour cream. Don’t let a bad appetizer call bring you down; Penalty Dip will always be in your team’s favor. It’s a touchdown of great dill pickle taste!

Ingredients

For the dip:

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons dill pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • cayenne pepper, optional, to taste

For serving:

  • dill pickles, to taste, finely chopped
  • fresh dill, to taste, chopped
  • potato chips, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese,1 cup of the pickles, the sour cream, the pickle juice, 1 tablespoon of the dill, the garlic, and the cayenne pepper and stir until smoothly combined.

Step 2 –Cover and transfer the bowl to the refrigerator to allow the flavors meld together, about 30 minutes.

Step 3 –Top with the remaining pickles and the remaining dill, then serve with the potato chips.
