Ingredients

  • 6-8 medium croissants, torn in half
  • 8 ounces deli ham or cooked leftover ham, cut into thirds
  • 6 ounces Swiss cheese or Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half or whole milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • salt, to taste
  • powdered sugar, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Lightly coat a 9×11-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 2 –In the prepared dish, add the croissant pieces and nestle the ham pieces around them, then sprinkle with the cheese.

Step 3 –In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, the half-and-half, the Dijon mustard, and the salt together.

Step 4 –Pour the egg mixture over the croissant mixture.

Step 5 –Cover the dish with foil and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes and up to overnight.

Step 6 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 7 –Bake the casserole, covered, for 20 minutes.

Step 8 –Remove the foil and bake until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the top is golden, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 9 –Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes.

Step 10 –Sprinkle the casserole with the powdered sugar.

Step 11 –Serve.
