Simple Peach Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 (15.25-ounce) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3/4 cup salted butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes, divided
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • toasted sliced almonds, to taste, for garnish
  • vanilla ice cream, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 3 –Add the peaches and their syrup to the prepared baking dish and drizzle with the almond extract. Gently stir to combine.

Step 4 –Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the butter cubes over the peaches.

Step 5 –Pour the dry cake mix over the peach mixture and pat it into an even layer with a spoon.

Step 6 –Evenly scatter the remaining butter cubes over the top of the cake mix.

Step 7 –Bake the cake until the top is golden-brown and the peach mixture is bubbly, about 45 minutes.
