Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions

Step 1 –Line the bottom of a slow cooker with a ring of foil.

Step 2 –Spray the entirety of the slow cooker with nonstick spray.

Step 3 –Place a sheet of parchment paper inside the slow cooker, ensuring there is enough overhang to be able to pull the brownies out later.

Step 4 –In a small bowl, whisk the flour, the cocoa, the baking soda, and the salt together.

Step 5 –In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, add the butter and 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate chips and microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after each session, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Step 6 –Add the sugar to the chocolate mixture and stir to combine.

Step 7 –Stir the eggs and the vanilla into the chocolate mixture until it is smooth.

Step 8 –Add the flour mixture and the remaining chocolate chips into the chocolate mixture and stir until it is just combined, ensuring not to over mix.

Step 9 –Transfer the batter to the prepared slow cooker.

Step 10 –Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 3 hours.

Step 11 –Uncover the slow cooker, turn the slow cooker off, and allow the brownies to cool in the slow cooker for 1 hour.

Step 12 –Lift the brownies out of the slow cooker using the parchment paper and allow them to set completely.

Step 13 –Cut the brownies into bars and serve.
