Ingredients
For the chili:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 (12-ounce) bottle chili sauce
- 1 (8-ounce) can kidney beans
- 1 (1-ounce) packet chili seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons Buffalo wing sauce, store-bought or homemade
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
For serving:
- 8 beef hot dogs
- 8 hot dog buns
- extra-sharp cheddar cheese, to taste, shredded
- white onion, to taste, chopped
Directions
Step 1 –In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink.
Step 2 –Add the chili sauce, the kidney beans, the chili seasoning, the water, the Buffalo wing sauce, the yellow mustard, the Worcestershire sauce, the lemon juice, and the onion powder to the beef and bring to a boil.
Step 3 –Reduce the heat to low and simmer the chili for 15 minutes.
Step 4 –Cook the hot dogs according to the package directions.
Step 5 –Place one of the hot dogs into each of the buns, and then top each hot dog with some of the chili.
Step 6 –Top the chili layer with the cheese and the onion.
Step 7 –Serve.
