Hot dogs! Get your hot dogs here! No matter what kind of game is on the tv, this Stadium Chili Dog will transport you right to the bleachers in a jiff! Nothing beats cheering for your favorite team as you bite into a fluffy bun filled with a juicy hot dog. Well, here’s a way to make it even better with a layer of savory, spicy chili and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and chopped onions. This one is really a grand slam of a feast! Make sure you have your go-to game-time beverage and plenty of napkins, then get ready for the best stadium experience possible… without having to step foot in the nosebleed seats. Be comfy on your couch with a Stadium Chili Dog in hand as you root, root, root for the home team!


For the chili:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (12-ounce) bottle chili sauce
  • 1 (8-ounce) can kidney beans
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet chili seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Buffalo wing sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

For serving:

  • 8 beef hot dogs
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • extra-sharp cheddar cheese, to taste, shredded
  • white onion, to taste, chopped


Step 1 –In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink.

Step 2 –Add the chili sauce, the kidney beans, the chili seasoning, the water, the Buffalo wing sauce, the yellow mustard, the Worcestershire sauce, the lemon juice, and the onion powder to the beef and bring to a boil.

Step 3 –Reduce the heat to low and simmer the chili for 15 minutes.

Step 4 –Cook the hot dogs according to the package directions.

Step 5 –Place one of the hot dogs into each of the buns, and then top each hot dog with some of the chili.

Step 6 –Top the chili layer with the cheese and the onion.

Step 7 –Serve.
