Taco Puffs

Taco Puffs takes everything that you love about tacos and packages them for even easier sharing! With flaky, buttery puff pastry taking the place of the taco shell, these apps are filled with juicy taco meat and spicy chiles for a wonderful kick! Taco Puffs are cheesy, savory, and speedy, taking less than half an hour to make! Once you serve these up at your next dinner party, your guests will be asking for the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (1-ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 1 (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (17.3-ounce, 2-count) package puff pastry, thawed

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 -Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4 -Drain the fat from the skillet.

Step 5 -Add the taco seasoning, the diced tomatoes with green chilies, and the water.

Step 6 -Simmer the beef mixture over low heat for 5 minutes and then set the skillet aside.

Step 7 -Unfold both of the pastry sheets.

Step 8 -Cut each sheet into 9 even squares.

Step 9 -Arrange the beef mixture down the diagonal center of each pastry sheet square.

Step 10 -Sprinkle the beef mixture on the pastry with the cheddar cheese.

Step 11 -Fold two opposite corners of each of the pastry squares over the filling, pressing the edges to seal.

Step 12 -Place each of the folded pastries onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 13 -Bake until golden-brown, about 15-18 minutes.

Step 14 -Serve warm.
