Witches’ Brew

Thirsty thirst and parch-ty parched; have dry mouths no more with Witches’ Brew from the start! That’s the potion for the perfect party punch, just so ya know. But don’t worry, there aren’t any snails or puppy dog tails in this one. It’s full of all the good stuff! Kiwifruit, sweet, bubbly, and a drip-drop of vodka for some tingly fun, each sip is sure to cast a spell on your taste buds. So, what are you waiting for? Don’t be afraid! A cup of Witches’ Brew tastes like a spooky, sweet upgrade!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 medium kiwis, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, plus more, to taste, for garnish
  • 1 cup vodka, optional
  • 1 liter ginger ale, chilled
  • ice cubes, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –In a small saucepan, bring the sugar and the water to a boil.

Step 2 –Cook the sugar water, while stirring, until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 3 –Let the simple syrup cool.

Step 4 –Place the kiwis, 1/2 cup of the mint, and the simple syrup in a blender, cover, and process until blended.

Step 5 –Pour the kiwi mixture into a large pitcher and stir in the vodka.

Step 6 –Refrigerate the kiwi mixture until it is chilled, for at least 2 hours and up to overnight.

Step 7 –Stir the ginger ale into the kiwi mixture just before serving.

Step 8 –Serve the Witches’ Brew over the ice, garnished with the extra mint.
