À la King Biscuit Casserole is everything you know and love from the classically creamy Chicken à la King. It features deliciously juicy chicken, an array of tender veggies, and that rich, savory sauce we adore so much. To make those flavors all the better, there’s a fluffy layer of buttermilk biscuits on top to soak it all up! And who wouldn’t want that?! Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/8 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 2 1/2 cups chicken breast meat, skinless and boneless, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups green peas
- 1 1/2 cups canned mushrooms, drained
- 1 cup carrots, cooked and sliced
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (16-ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 3 –Stir the flour into the butter.
Step 4 –Stir the chicken broth into the flour mixture and until it thickens.
Step 5 –Add the chicken, the peas, the mushrooms, the carrots, the onion, and the bell pepper to the broth mixture, stirring to combine.
Step 6 –Bring the chicken mixture to a boil and cook until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
Step 7 –Pour the chicken mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 8 –Place the biscuits evenly over the top of the chicken mixture.
Step 9 –Bake the casserole until the biscuits are golden-brown, about 25-30 minutes.
Step 10 –Serve.
