Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers are small, but they pack a punch! This recipe is quick, easy, and makes for a great party favor, appetizer, or snack. When you pop one of these into your mouth, your tastebuds will be met with rich cream cheese, melted sharp cheddar cheese, zingy jalapeño, and crispy bacon. Make Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers any time for an explosion of flavor!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 12 jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise, seeds and membranes removed
- 12 slices bacon
Directions
For the oven:
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 –Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Step 3 –Mix the cream cheese and cheddar cheese together in a bowl until evenly blended.
Step 4 –Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
Step 5 –Put the pepper halves back together and wrap each stuffed pepper with a slice of the bacon.
Step 6 –Arrange the bacon-wrapped peppers on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 7 –Bake in the preheated oven until the bacon is crispy, about 15 minutes.
Step 8 –Serve hot!
For the grill:
Step 9 –Preheat the grill to 400 degrees F.
Step 10 –Prepare the poppers as seen above.
Step 11 –Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeños on the grill cut side down.
Step 12 –Grill just until the bacon begins to crisp, about 6 minutes.
Step 13 –Gently loosen the bacon from the grill and flip the jalapeños over. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook until the bacon is fully cooked and the cheese is melted, about 10-12 minutes.
Step 14 –Serve hot!
