Baked Crack Chicken Casserole

We won’t beat around the bush about it because it’s plain and simple with this one. Baked Crack Chicken Casserole is just delicious. Creamy, cheesy, and super easy, this chicken-filled, cracker-topped dish satisfies all your savory cravings and then some! You see what we mean? There’s no need to keep going on and on about it because you’ll experience the most joy when you actually try this Baked Crack Chicken Casserole! No sugar-coating (or in this case, we should say butter-coating) needed. It’s just good eatin’!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken, cooked, cubed or shredded
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup bacon, cooked and chopped, plus more, to taste, for garnish
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 (10.75-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups buttered crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • green onions, to taste, sliced, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.

Step 3 –In a bowl, combine the chicken, the ranch mix, the cheese, 1 cup of the bacon, the sour cream, and the cream of chicken soup and stir to combine.

Step 4 –Spread the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Step 5 –In a small bowl, stir the crushed crackers and the melted butter together.

Step 6 –Sprinkle the cracker mixture over the chicken mixture.

Step 7 –Bake the casserole until it is heated through and the crackers are toasted on top, about 25-30 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve the casserole garnished with the extra bacon and the green onions.
