Better Not Pout Potatoes

You better not pout, and you better not cry… and not just because Santa is comin’ to town! No, the real reason is because you won’t be able to. The warm, jolly, savory flavors of Better Not Pout Potatoes will bring you so much joy that all you’ll be able to do is smile! These tender, perfectly seasoned potatoes might just become your favorite side dish on the holiday table. In fact, they most definitely will because they’re ready in under 30 minutes. Ingredients

  • 2 pounds baby potatoes, scrubbed and cut if needed to ensure they’re uniform in size
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt, to taste
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chives, minced

Directions

Step 1 –In a large pot, add the potatoes and cover with water.

Step 2 –Bring the potatoes to a boil and add the salt, to taste.

Step 3 –Lower the heat to medium and simmer until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 10 minutes.

Step 4 –Transfer the pot away from the heat, drain the water, and return the potatoes to the pot.

Step 5 –Stir the garlic, the butter, the parsley, the chives, and the salt into the potatoes until they are well-coated.

Step 6 –Cover the pot and let the potatoes sit for 10 minutes.

Step 7 –Serve.
