Ingredients

  • 1 (11-ounce) can chunk light tuna in water, drained
  • 1/3 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/3 cup cucumber, chopped
  • 1/3 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 ciabatta rolls, split in half
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the broiler.

Step 2 –Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3 –In a small bowl, add the tuna, the celery, the cucumber, the onion, the mayonnaise, the dill, the lemon juice, the salt, and the pepper and mix well.

Step 4 –Place the roll halves on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5 –Spread each of the roll halves equally with the tuna mixture and sprinkle them evenly with the cheese.

Step 6 –Broil the sandwiches 2-3 inches from the heat source until the cheese has melted, about 2-4 minutes.

Step 7 –Serve open-faced or as a traditional sandwich.
