Ingredients
- 1 (15.25-ounce) box chocolate cake mix
- 1 (5.9-ounce) family-size package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 2 cups 2% milk
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 –Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 4 –Evenly sprinkle the dry pudding mix over top of the cake mix.
Step 5 –Sprinkle 1 3/4 cups of the chocolate chips on top of the dry pudding mix.
Step 6 –Drizzle the milk over the chocolate chips and gently stir to combine; the mixture will appear thick and lumpy.
Step 7 –Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the cake batter.
Step 8 –Bake the cake until the top appears set and the edges pull away from the dish, about 35-40 minutes.
Step 9 –Transfer the dish to a wire rack and let the cake cool slightly.
Step 10 –Slice and serve warm.
