Crack-of-Dawn Crescent Wraps

Ingredients

  • 5 large eggs, divided
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 (8-ounce) tube refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 8 breakfast sausage links, fully-cooked

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –In a small bowl, beat the eggs well.

Step 3 –Reserve 2 tablespoons of the beaten eggs.

Step 4 –In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.

Step 5 –Add the eggs and slowly stir, gently creating small curds, until the eggs are just slightly creamy, about 4 minutes.

Step 6 –Season the eggs with the salt and the pepper.

Step 7 –Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a work surface and separate it into eight triangles.

Step 8 –Cut the cheese slices in half.

Step 9 –Place 1 cheese slice half on each dough triangle.

Step 10 –Top each dough triangle with an even amount of the scrambled eggs and 1 sausage link.

Step 11 –Loosely roll up the crescent dough.

Step 12 –Place the rolls on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 13 –Brush each of the rolls with the reserved beaten eggs.

Step 14 –Sprinkle each roll with the pepper.

Step 15 –Bake until golden-brown, about 15-18 minutes.

Step 16 –Serve immediately.
