Crunchy Taco Cups

We’ll take a taco of any kind, but these Crunchy Taco Cups are some of the most satisfying! Get ready for the crunchiest experience as you bite into these crispy wonton-filled bites. What’s inside? Oh, just the most flavorful ground beef you’ve ever tasted topped with some sharp cheese. We think it’s fair to say that Crunchy Taco Cups just might be of the best variety!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (1-ounce) envelope taco seasoning
  • 1 (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Generously coat a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3 –In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook, while crumbing, until no longer pink. Drain the excess grease.

Step 4 –In a bowl, add the cooked beef, the taco seasoning, and the tomatoes with green chilies and stir to combine.

Step 5 –Line the prepared muffin tin cups with the wonton wrappers.

Step 6 –Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of the taco mixture to the wonton wrappers, then top each with 1 tablespoon of the cheese.

Step 7 –Press down on the cheese layer then add another layer of the wonton wrappers, the taco mixture, and the cheese in that order.

Step 8 –Bake until the cups are heated through and the edges are golden, about 11-13 minutes.

Step 9 –Serve.
