What is Acid?

LSD stimulates the synthetic nervous system of the body, which in turn increases the blood sugar level and the consumer’s body temperature. As these activities happen, the brain confuses them with the activity caused by serotonin and sends the signal to the brain’s synaptic cleft. When LSD reaches there, the serotonin receptor proteins start making bonds with the LSD.

The effect of psilocybin can not be seen until 15 minutes after taking the pill, which means the consumer will not experience any hallucination symptoms up to an hour after taking the drug.
The liver takes the time between the consumption of the pill and the hallucination to break down the psilocybin into a compound known as psilocin. The ability of the brain to respond to negative things gets weekends during the process. The compound psilocybin, in the words of scientists, causes ‘ego dissolution. This means the psilocybin makes the frontoinsular cortex and the anterior cingulate cortex less responsive.
