Easy Stroganoff

The classics don’t have to be complicated! Easy Stroganoff shows you that you can enjoy your comforting favorites without using too much elbow grease. In under 30 minutes, your plate will be filled with that savory, beefy concoction you grew-up on over a pile of some fluffy rice for extra satisfaction. It’s going to be a peacefully delicious night for sure, thanks to this Easy Stroganoff!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • garlic salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water or beef broth
  • 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 (4.5-ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • fresh parsley, to taste, chopped, for garnish
  • rice or noodles, to taste, cooked and warm, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2 –Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, while crumbling, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess liquid from the skillet.

Step 3 –Add the onion and the garlic salt to the beef and cook until the onion is soft.

Step 4 –Add the flour to the beef mixture and cook, stirring regularly, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 5 –Add the water, the cream of mushroom soup, and the mushrooms to the beef mixture and bring to a simmer.

Step 6 –Reduce the heat and cook the beef mixture, stirring occasionally, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 7 –Gently fold the sour cream into the beef mixture and heat until warm.

Step 8 –Add the salt and the pepper to the beef mixture.

Step 9 –Sprinkle the top of the beef mixture with the parsley.

Step 10 –Serve the stroganoff over the rice or the noodles.
