It’s so easy to fall in love with this Fall Latte! A delicious mug of hot, creamy milk and a shot of energetic espresso would be delicious enough, but this brew has its eyes set on some fall beauty! A smoky, nutty, sweet, and buttery maple-pecan syrup infuses every sip with autumnal bliss! Fall Latte is a celebration of the season… plus, it will keep your hands warm!
Ingredients
For the maple-pecan syrup:
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup pecan butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
For the latte:
- 1 (1-ounce) shot espresso
- 1/2 cup steamed milk
- whipped cream, to taste, store-bought or homemade, for garnish
- pecans, optional, to taste, toasted and chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –In a small pot over medium-high heat, combine the maple syrup, the pecan butter, the brown sugar, and the butter.
Step 2 –Cook the maple-pecan mixture, while stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 2 minutes.
Step 3 –Transfer the sauce mixture off the heat and whisk in the heavy cream and the vanilla extract.
Step 4 –Set the maple-pecan syrup aside to cool completely.
Step 5 –Combine the espresso and 2 tablespoons of the reserved maple-pecan syrup in a mug, whisking until well-blended.
Step 6 –Pour in the steamed milk.
Step 7 –Top the latte with the whipped cream and the chopped pecans.
Step 8 –Serve.
