Favorite Chicken Alfredo Bake

No one likes to play favorites, but when something is this good, you just can’t help it! Favorite Chicken Alfredo Bake will become the dish that you’ll be known for, and it will be requested again and again! Authentic Italian flavor exudes from the juicy chicken, combined with a creamy cheese sauce and tender pasta, all melted together with a generous amount of ooey, gooey mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Yummmmy! Listen, don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t play favorites with our Favorite Chicken Alfredo Bake, because you’ll quickly find that it’s become a family-favorite in no time. It is just THAT good!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 chicken breasts, cubed
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 pound penne pasta, uncooked
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese, grated, divided
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • fresh parsley leaves, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2 –In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.

Step 3 –Add the cubed chicken to the oil and season with the salt, the black pepper, and the minced garlic.

Step 4 –Cook the chicken, while stirring frequently, until it is browned and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

Step 5 –Add the chicken broth, the heavy cream, and the penne pasta, stirring to combine, and bring the mixture to a boil.

Step 6 –Cover, reduce the heat to low-medium, and simmer, while stirring frequently, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 7 –Preheat the oven’s broiler.

Step 8 –Turn the stovetop heat off, add 1 1/2 cups of the parmesan cheese to the chicken-pasta mixture, and stir to combine.

Step 9 –Transfer 1/2 of the chicken-pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish.

Step 10 –Evenly sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken-pasta mixture.

Step 11 –Evenly pour the remaining chicken-pasta mixture over the cheese layer.

Step 12 –Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and the remaining parmesan cheese on top of the chicken-pasta mixture.

Step 13 –Broil the Alfredo bake until the cheese is golden-brown, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 14 –Garnish the Alfredo bake with the parsley.

Step 15 –Serve.
