Fruity Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 (7-ounce) package mixed dried fruit
  • 1 large onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 (5.5-ounce) can unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 (2-pound) beef chuck roast, boneless
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

Step 1 –In a 4-quart slow cooker, combine the dried fruit, the onion, and the apple juice.

Step 2 –Place the beef on top of the fruit mixture and sprinkle with the salt, the allspice, and the pepper.

Step 3 –Cover the slow cooker and cook the beef on low heat until the meat is tender, about 6-8 hours.

Step 4 –Serve the roast with the fruit mixture.
