Grandparent’s Day Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 (3-5-pound) beef roast
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet Italian dressing mix
  • 6 medium potatoes, halved
  • 6 carrots, halved
  • 1 cup celery, optional, diced

Directions

Step 1 –Add the roast and the water to the slow cooker.

Step 2 –In a small bowl, add the brown gravy mix, the ranch dressing mix, and the Italian dressing mix and stir to combine.

Step 3 –Pour the gravy mixture over the roast, cover the slow cooker, and cook on low heat for 5 hours.

Step 4 –Add the potatoes, the carrots, and the celery to the roast and cook until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 190 degrees F and the veggies are fork-tender, about 2-3 hours.

Step 5 –Plate and serve.
