Holy Moly Dip

And by special superpower, we mean it’s so deliciously addicting that no matter what crowd you serve it to, you can guarantee it will be gone by the end of the night. Well, here it is! Holy Moly Dip is named appropriately, because you’ll hear your fellow event gatherers exclaiming such proclamations with each dip! Served with any of your favorite dippers, ranging from tortilla chips, pita chips, veggie sticks, and anything in between, this melty, cheesy, creamy dip is sure to blow the minds of all involved. There’s even a little bit of healthy broccoli hidden in there, which is fun because no one will even know they’re partying it up while also willingly getting some greens in. Holy moly! Holy Moly Dip is truly something special! Try it at your next food-focused event and see firsthand the magical hold it has on the masses!

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan, grated
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Lightly coat a 9-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.

Step 3 –Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4 –Add the panko to the oil and cook, while stirring, until browned and toasted, about 3 minutes.

Step 5 –In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, the broccoli, 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese, the sour cream, the parmesan, the milk, the Creole seasoning, the garlic powder, and the onion powder.

Step 6 –Season the cream cheese mixture with the salt and the pepper.

Step 7 –Spread the cream cheese mixture into the prepared baking dish, then sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese.

Step 8 –Bake the dip until it is bubbly, about 20-25 minutes.

Step 9 –Serve.
