Irish-Luck French Toast

Honestly, no matter what side of the bed you woke up on, Irish-Luck French Toast will have you feeling happy and fortuitous! Like really, who could be in a bad mood the rest of the day after chowing down on some golden slices of French toast infused with peppy Irish cream liqueur?! To take it one step further, these yummy, festive toasts are dolloped with sugary and creamy whipped topping, also infused with Irish cream liqueur. With each bite of Irish-Luck French Toast, you feel happier and get luckier! Imagine what the rest of the day has in store for you!

Ingredients

For the whipped topping:

  • 1/2 ounce Irish cream liqueur
  • 4 ounces whipped cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

For the French toast:

  • 2 1/2 ounces Irish cream liqueur
  • 2 1/2 ounces whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 thick slices sourdough bread

Directions

Step 1 –In a bowl, add 1/2 ounce of the Irish cream liqueur, 4 ounces of the whipping cream, and the powdered sugar and whisk with an electric mixer on high speed until the mixture forms soft peaks.

Step 2 –Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate it until ready to serve.

Step 3 –In a shallow dish, whisk the remaining Irish cream liqueur, the remaining whipping cream, the vanilla extract, and the eggs together.

Step 4 –In a frying pan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.

Step 5 –Dip each side of the bread slices in the custard mixture until they are completely soaked, about 5-10 minutes per side.

Step 6 –Increase the temperature to medium-high heat and fry the bread slices until each side is golden-brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 7 –Serve the French toast with a dollop of the whipped cream.
